Face Paint Recipes

Making face paint is easy to do and requires nothing more than the supplies you already have in your kitchen.

 

 
 
 
 

Recipe 1

What you will need:

·  1 teaspoon cornstarch

·  ½ teaspoon water

·  ½ teaspoon cold water

·  Food color

·  Paint palette or paper plates

Directions:

Divide the cream mixture in to as many portions as colors to be made.  Add a couple drops of food color to the mixture at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition, add food color until the desired color has been achieved. This face paint is easy to wash off and when washed with warm water the color will be removed with the cream.

 

 

 

Recipe 2

What you will need:

·  5 teaspoons cornstarch

·  2 tablespoons shortening

·  1 teaspoon Vaseline

·  1 teaspoon flour

·  Food color

·  Paint palette or paper plates

Directions:

Combine the cornstarch, shortening, flour and Vaseline together mixing thoroughly.  Add food color one drop at a time until the desired color is achieved. 

 

 

 

Recipe 3

What you will need:

·  3 tablespoons cornstarch

·  1 tablespoon flour

·  ¾ cup light corn syrup

·  1 teaspoon flour

·  Food color

·  ¼ cup water

·  Paint palette or bowl

Directions:

Combine the flour and cornstarch in a bowl.  Gradually add the corn syrup and water until the mixture while stirring constantly until it becomes smooth.  Divide the mixture and color as desired.

 

 

 

Recipe 4- For Special Effects

What you will need:

·  4 tablespoons corn syrup

·  1 ounce gelatin (plain or flavored depending on the desired color)

·  2 tablespoons boiling water

·  Add ins to create effects such as colored sugar

·  4 tablespoons corn syrup

Directions:

Mix the gelatin and water in a small bowl and let set for 3 minutes.  The gelatin is now ready to make various make-up effects.

·    To make growths such as warts and blisters, drip the gelatin on to a ceramic plate before it completely sets.  Once set, carefully peel the formations and use corn syrup to attach to the face or body.

·     Sprinkle in colored sugar while the gelatin is setting to give it a textured look. 

·    For stretchy and slimy effects, stretch or grab globs of gelatin that have set for 5 minutes, attach to the body using corn syrup.
