Dark Chocolate Cake

 
This is the perfect cake for chocolate lovers and makes a very moist cake.
 
 
Yields: two 9’’ cakes

Ingredients:

·  2 cups sugar

·  1 ¾ cup flour

·  ¾ cup dark cocoa powder

·  1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

·  1 ½ teaspoons baking soda

·  1 teaspoon salt

·  2 eggs

·  1 cup milk

·  ½ cup vegetable oil

·  2 teaspoons vanilla extract

·  ¾ cup boiling water
 
 
Directions:
· Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease and dust two round 9’’ cake pans with cocoa powder.
· In a large mixing bowl combine dry ingredients, mix well.
· Add eggs, milk, vegetable oil and vanilla extract and beat at medium speed for two minutes.
· Add boiling water and stir by hand.
· Pour in to a prepared pan.
· Bake for 30-35 minutes or until your pick comes out clean. Allow to cool in pan for at least 10 minutes before removing and placing on wire rack to cool completely.
· Before adding frosting, be sure your cake is completely cool and free of crumbs.
